What is a superdelegate, and what role do they play in the Democratic Party nomination process? The superdelegates were a controversial portion of the 2008 nomination battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and they seem to be creating a discussion again in 2016. As Hillary now goes against Bernie Sanders for the democratic nomination, how will the lingering question of the superdelegates play out?
