Is "wokeism" breaking the country into two competing economies (defined by geographic boundaries that are not so different from those of America's actual Civil War)?
Trish Regan and Rob Hordon, Co-Founders of 76research, share their thoughts on this new venture. The Texas Stock Exchange is expected to differentiate itself from the NYSE/Nasdaq duopoly by rejecting "woke" listing requirements. Trish and Rob explore the political dimensions of this new venture and how it reflects widespread dissatisfaction with the DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) movements (including climate-related restrictions that are extremely problematic for the energy sector). They also examine BlackRock's motivations here, and why the asset management giant, which has been an advocate for ESG, is potentially involved.
