YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAustralia’s Black Summer bushfires destroyed thousands of homes, and for many people, the scale of the devastation has meant that the clean-up process has been painfully slow.
In the early hours of New Year’s Eve, 14 homes in the tiny village of Quaama burnt down, and the ferocity of the fire left almost nothing salvageable in the ruins.
As the first step of the clean-up begins, Ruth Haggar and Veronica Coen take one last sift through the rubble and ash and reflect on what was lost and the long path ahead to recovery.
