It almost seems as if Cowan's body art is projected from his fingertips and onto the wall in front of him as he sprays an array of paints on the concrete at the local skate park.
But in reality, Cowan paints simply for the love of art. Growing up in Launceston, Cowan struggled with his weight. As a coping mechanism, he began to make fun of himself, putting on a brave face at school and laughing along with his peers. Now the nickname they gave him is his artistic brand.
