Who Gets The Vaccine First?

The COVID-19 vaccine has arrived in the U.S., but will everyone have equal access to it? As the U.S. reaches deadly milestones every day, the FDA has started approving vaccines for emergency use for the deadly virus.

But how plausible is a mass vaccination program when millions of people live in rural areas in America? How will health departments cope with the stress of vaccination when they’ve already been burdened by months of the pandemic? And the vaccine needs over half of the population to take it to be effective, so will skepticism prevent it from working?

The U.S. might face additional difficulties, as there’s no central health system that can administer a vaccine. States are also individually dealing with vaccine distribution after local health departments have faced years of cuts and extra stress during the pandemic. And finally, will Americans take the vaccine?

As cases and deaths are on the rise, is the U.S. going to be able to stop the spread through vaccination roll-out?
