11:19Now PlayingSenate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., admonished Democrats calling for the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in light of a previously unreported allegation of sexual misconduct against the justice. "Over the last couple of days, leading Democrats have tried to grab on to yet another poorly sourced, thinly reported, unsubstantiated allegation against Justice Brett Kavanaugh," McConnell said. The Republican leader was one of several who came to Kavanaugh's defense on Monday after the New York Times published reporting from a forthcoming book by two of its writers that looks more closely at how the FBI investigated the allegations during Kavanaugh's 2018 confirmation hearing.
