PBS News Hour co-anchor Amna Nawaz asked Cammack about comments the congresswoman made blaming Democrats for the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
Cammack said she did not regret what she said, and criticized news organizations.
"I am an equal-opportunity offender, so I will say that both Republicans and Democrats for the last several years have engaged in rhetoric that is not helpful in unifying us as a nation. So we have an opportunity here at this convention to move forward," Cammack said.
Co-anchor Geoff Bennett also asked what J.D. Vance brings to the Republican ticket.
"As a millennial, I'm a little bit biased. He's 39 years old. I love seeing that young energy on the ticket and I think it's going to be in stark contrast to Vice President Harris when they have their debate," Cammack said. "I'm excited. I think he brings a lot of energy, a lot of passion, a great voice and messenger for the America First movement."
