“The political transition and the full restoration of democracy [and] free elections in Venezuela is essential,” Andres Martinez-Fernandez, a senior policy analyst for Latin America at The Heritage Foundation, told host Nick Schifrin.
He said later that "this movement of socialism, anti-Americanism, has no future in Venezuela under free and fair elections, and I think that's important.”
