1:45Now PlayingIt is "hard to say" what the Trump administration's strategy is for Iran, the New York Times' David Sanger says, as the U.S. paused its bombing campaign.
"It's really hard to say at this point, ... if you don't have much of a strategy going in, it's hard to develop one in the middle of a war," Sanger told guest moderator Vivian Salama on Friday.
Both the U.S. and Iran paused strikes over the weekend after nearly two weeks of attacks and escalating tensions. Regional officials said Monday that mediators are working to bring the U.S. and Iran back to the negotiations.
