2:25:04Now PlayingIt's a great time of the year to give back to our communities and the organizations that benefit them! I spent many years on the board of directors for the Blue Mountain Land Trust and decided to share with you why I support this organization and private land conservation generally. This will be a chance to talk about some of the legal approaches to land preservation - what works, what doesn't, and why - and I'll share with you some of my personal journey through environmentalism to the views I hold today. I'll be joined during the stream by Amanda Martino, the executive director of the Blue Mountain Land Trust, to talk about the work they do throughout eastern Washington and Oregon both to restore and conserve important lands as well as to foster a connection between communities and the landscapes they inhabit.
