Police attention turns to the scene of the attack at the home that Jim and Christy shared. We see the pattern of blood evidence throughout the home. Police also follow the blood trail to the neighbor's house and find blood inside; the neighbor's demeanor with police might raise doubts about Jim's potential self-defense argument. We also jump forward a week to a police tracking dog locating Jim, disheveled and dirty, outside an abandoned home with a knife in his hand. The prosecution continues to incrementally build a picture of Jim's consciousness of guilt by showing actions inconsistent with being the victim of an attack by Christy.
