as posted by the channelAn active shooter outside of a club named "Playoffz" in Spartanburg County South Carolina was stopped by a good guy with a gun ... a concealed carry permit holder. This comes on the heels of Donald Trump delivering a speech shortly after the Orlando "Pulse" nightclub shooting, in which 50 people were killed. Trump said that maybe the tragedy would have been mitigated or completely avoided if bullets were traveling in the other direction. Meaning, of course, that people should be allowed to conceal and carry their guns inside of clubs.
Many people criticized Donald Trump for those remarks (although concealed carry is legal inside of bars in South Carolina). Critics of his remarks say that he spoke too soon after the incident, and that drunk people around guns would be a dangerous mix. But the reality here is that not allowing guns inside of a club at all make them sitting ducks to people who are on the outside that will have guns. It's easy for an individual to force their way into a place with their firearm when they're not met with resistance. Then, there is the question of what happens outside of the club during the infamous "let out" which is a phenomenon that plagues black clubs across the United States of America.
The "let out" is when black clubs close for the night, and as everyone is leaving, chaos breaks loose. Fights, shootings, and sometimes homicides happen during these incidents. They happen very frequently, but not quite to the point of constantly. This incident in Spartanburg County South Carolina was another example of a let-out fight. Fortunately for the innocent people who were in the line of fire of the individual firing his weapon indiscriminately, there was an individual on sight with a firearm, who probably was inside the club with his firearm as well. Donald Trump was right in this case, just as he was right about the Muslim ban and many other things.
