Sarah Silverman and Al Franken Booed at The DNC Before Introducing Paul Simon #DEMSinPHL (VIDEO)

Sarah Silverman and Al Franken were booed during the first day of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Monday, July 25th, 2016. Silverman was talking about how she was a Bernie supporter before he essentially conceded the race to Hillary Clinton, and the crowd was pretty much into it and there wasn't too much jeering. Then when she tried to switch it up and promote Hillary Clinton as the candidate people should vote for, that's when things went left.

They booed her, and Minnesota Senator Al Franken, like it was going out of style. It was a constant cavalcade of booing, mostly coming from the upset Bernie Sanders supporters, probably because of the #DNCleak scandal. Sarah made it worse when she told the "Bernie or bust people" that they are "being ridiculous." All of this happened during an apparent mishap in the time handling, so they were basically marooned on the stage, trying to stretch time before Paul Simon was to be brought out to (struggle to) sing.
