Cardi B.'s 4 day personal injury trial happened in Los Angeles this week, but if you were busy watching the Donna Adelson trial, you may have missed it. Honestly, it's too good to miss. Let's watch & recap together!
The plaintiff, a former security guard for a Beverly Hills medical building, filed a lawsuit seeking $24 million against rapper Cardi B. alleging that she was injured in February 2018 during a verbal altercation in which Cardi B. scratched her face with her long, pointy, bedazzled fingernails. Allegations included Cardi "violently" assaulted her, spat on her, and used racial slurs after Ellis was believed to be filming the pregnant rapper without permission. Cardi maintained that she never touched Ellis, that she was upset because she had not yet disclosed her pregnancy publicly, and was afraid of the larger security guard. Ellis also alleged Cardi caused her to be fired from her job, causing her emotional distress.
