15:34Now PlayingKerry Davis made footballing headlines in 1985 when she transferred from Crewe to the semi-professional Italian team Roi Lazio in 1985. Throughout the season, a film crew documented her experiences adjusting to life overseas and mastering the language.
She remained in Italy with Trani 80 and Napoli, before eventually returning to England where she achieved notable success with Liverpool Ladies and Croydon Women.
Stoke-born Davis also made history as the first black woman to play for England, earning 82 caps and scoring 44 goals.
