More than 50,000 men and women work in the car factories of Coventry and they earn some of the highest wages in Britain. But a better pay packet has produced no solution to the strike and stoppage problem. So is it money that matters most to the car-maker? Or beer and bingo, fishing and football?
Barrie talks to some of the people who work on the car assembly lines. How do they feel about their jobs - are they boring? What do Coventry car workers do with all their money?
