Mick Jagger is old. Really old. He's nearly 40! Patti Coldwell sits down for a chat with the Rolling Stones frontman ahead of the European leg of the Tattoo You tour, about the feasibilty of being a rock frontman of his vintage. Mick reckons he's got about another 5 years of full-throttle rock n roll performance left in him, before he'll have to consider a different approach on stage.
What keeps him and the Stones touring? Surely it can't be money? In the wake of John Lennon's murder, does he worry about his safety? Would he consider getting a bodyguard? Do he and Jerry Hall get much time together, given their hectic schedules? Given the likes of Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney seem to have distanced themselves from the rock n' roll lifestyle, is he the last real rock star?
