Speaking on the BBC Two's Politics Live, 24-year-old Nathan, who lives with his dad in Greater Manchester, said the rising cost of living is a major issue for young people.
He added that boys’ underperformance in school may be one reason why young men are more likely than young women to continue living with their parents.
Joining Vicki Young in the studio were Labour MP Joe Powell, Conservative MP Sarah Bool, and journalist and broadcaster Sonia Sodha.
