1:06Now PlayingThousands gathered in Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities on Monday for demonstrations against the presidency of Alberto Fernández and the country's prolonged coronavirus confinement rules.
The so-called "Patriotic Flag" protest, which occurred on the holiday for the 170th anniversary of the death of the liberator José de San Martín, saw protesters raise concern over coronavirus restrictions, economic deterioration and government plans for judicial reform.
Protesters questioned the government's motives for a planned judicial overhaul, alleging the changes are meant to protect Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner who faces allegations of corruption.
As of Monday, Argentina had reported more than 295,000 Covid-19 cases and over 5,700 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
