1:00Now Playing(AP) Riot police clashed with protesting pensioners in central Minsk on Monday.
The protest was against mass detentions at another protest on Sunday.
Over 700 people were detained in the protest Sunday, which was the ninth consecutive Sunday rally against the regime of President Alexander Lukashenko after contested presidential elections on August 9 which handed the ruler his sixth term in office.
The pensioners marched in a column through central Minsk, carrying flowers and posters with slogans such as "The grandmas are with you (protesters)."
In video footage posted by local media, the pensioners are seen confronting a group of riot police who had detained a number of protesters.
They chanted "Fascists" while the riot police used pepper spray and let off stun grenades into the crowd.
Anti-Lukashenko protests have rocked the country over the past two months, with the largest rallies in Minsk attracting up to 200,000 people.
