0:42Now PlayingU.S. President Joe Biden made his first big appearance on the global stage as president Friday.
He offered the Group of Seven world leaders and others a glimpse into his plans to dramatically reshape U.S. foreign policy even as he deals with a number of international crises coming to a head at the start of his presidency.
Biden addressed the Munich Security Conference virtually Friday morning, after meeting with the G-7 leaders.
In his remarks, he stressed that "America is back" and recommitted to multilateral engagement, a stark contrast from President Donald Trump, who developed an isolationist foreign policy that saw the U.S. withdraw from major global agreements and alliances.
Since entering office, Biden has reversed many of Trump’s isolationist moves, including by rejoining the World Health Organization.
