7:31:26Now Playing(Aug. 4) More than 4 million children in the U.S. have tested positive for Covid, but the true number of infections is likely much higher, because kids are often asymptomatic and they’re less likely to be tested. In recent months, as a growing number of adults have been vaccinated, children have at times accounted for more than a third of confirmed weekly cases.
At least 44,000 kids, from newborns to 17-year-olds, have been hospitalized since August, and about 350 have died, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
