Aug 24, 20210:36Now PlayingCalifornia’s Caldor Fire could reach Lake Tahoe as the blaze burns largely out of control in the mountains near the popular resort area.
“It is knocking on the door to the Lake Tahoe basin,” said Thom Porter, director of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, or Cal Fire, on Monday. “We have all efforts in place to keep it out of the basin. But we do need to also be aware that that is a possibility, based on the way these fires have been burning.”
