YouTube Description
as posted by the channelParis is ready to host Olympics swimming events in the Seine this summer, barring major adverse weather conditions that would lower water quality, a city official said.
That’s despite a report published last week that found high levels of bacteria in the river, which serves as a major urban waterway. Pierre Rabadan, the deputy mayor in charge of sports, said water quality tends to be worse in the colder months, when the nonprofit behind the report took the samples.
“We don’t want people swimming in the winter, we want them swimming in July and August,” Rabadan said in an interview. “We know that that’s when conditions will be most favorable.”
