AT&T Gains, Nike Slides, Super Micro Jumps | Stock Movers

Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market, a look at the notable movers:

- AT&T shares are up after the telecom company reported second-quarter results that beat expectations on key metrics, including wireless postpaid phone net adds and adjusted earnings. AT&T reported 432,000 monthly phone net additions in the three months ended June 30, better than the 325,264 that Wall Street had projected. The shares were up about 5% in New York as trading got underway on Wednesday, helping pare losses for the year so far to 6.5%.

- Nike (NKE) shares are down 2.1% after the sportswear company announced that it plans to cut its e-commerce partnerships with Topsports, Pou Sheng and other websites in China beginning in January 2027. Nike’s online sales accounted for about 22% of Topsports’ total revenue in financial year ended Feb. 28

- Super Micro Computer (SMCI) shares rose as much as 25% after the server maker issued preliminary results saying its backlog hit a record on new orders in the quarter of more than $60 billion. Sales have surged for Super Micro’s servers fitted with Nvidia Corp. chips for artificial intelligence workloads. But the company has been working to get costs under control while vying with rivals to rapidly get those machines into customers’ hands and win business in a growing AI market.
