House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Whip Katherine Clark and Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar released a blistering statement declaring that Golden and Gluesenkamp Perez had “blindside[d] the entire House Democratic Caucus.”
Leadership called their decision a “significant breach of trust” and immediately referred the controversy to the Democratic Committee on Caucus Rules.
And some Democrats are now openly discussing whether the two lawmakers should face CONSEQUENCES—including potentially losing committee assignments.
