0:51Now PlayingMedicare premiums, prescription drug costs, deductibles, supplemental coverage and late-enrollment penalties can add up FAST—and choosing the wrong coverage for your individual needs could potentially cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
💰 In this video, we're breaking down ways Medicare beneficiaries can check whether they're paying MORE than necessary.
🔥 COMPARE MEDICARE PLAN COSTS EACH YEAR
🔥 CHECK YOUR PRESCRIPTION DRUG COVERAGE
🔥 SEE IF YOU QUALIFY FOR MEDICARE SAVINGS PROGRAMS
🔥 APPLY FOR “EXTRA HELP” WITH PRESCRIPTION COSTS
🔥 UNDERSTAND MEDICARE ADVANTAGE vs. ORIGINAL MEDICARE + MEDIGAP
🔥 WATCH OUT FOR LATE-ENROLLMENT PENALTIES
🔥 CHECK WHETHER YOU'RE PAYING AN INCOME-RELATED SURCHARGE
In 2026, the standard Medicare Part B premium is $202.90 per month, and some beneficiaries pay substantially more because of their income.
But many seniors with limited income and resources may qualify for programs that can help pay Part B premiums, deductibles, coinsurance and prescription drug expenses.
And Medicare's Extra Help program can dramatically reduce prescription costs for people who qualify—including a $0 plan premium and $0 deductible under the program in 2026.
The key is knowing WHAT you're paying for, WHAT benefits you're actually using, and WHAT assistance you may qualify to receive.
⚠️ There is no single Medicare plan that's cheapest or best for everyone. Your doctors, prescriptions, location, income and healthcare needs can completely change which option makes financial sense.
💥 DON'T AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME YOUR CURRENT MEDICARE COVERAGE IS STILL YOUR BEST DEAL.

Chapter and its affiliates are not connected with or endorsed by any government entity or the federal Medicare program. Chapter Advisory, LLC represents Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO, and PFFS organizations and stand alone prescription drug plans that have a Medicare contract. Enrollment depends on the plan’s contract renewal. While we have a database of every Medicare plan nationwide and can help you to search among all plans, we have contracts with many but not all plans. As a result, we do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 50 organizations which offer 18,160 products nationwide. We search and recommend all plans, even those we don’t directly offer. You can contact a licensed Chapter agent to find out the number of products available in your specific area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-Medicare, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.
