12:51Now PlayingFive African leaders were in Paris over the weekend for a meeting called by French President Francois Hollande to discuss cooperation in fighting a common threat to all of them.
Boko Haram has become a threat to West African countries, since they extended their activities beyond Nigeria.
Neighbouring Cameroon and Niger Republic are feeling the brunt, witnessing attacks by the group.
The meeting did not last very long, but it seemed it was enough to make the leaders reach a resolution.
An attack on one country is an attack on all, was the unifying statement, as they seek to end insurgency in the region.
After the meeting, President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria told reporters that they would work together to wipe out terrorism in the region.
They are seeking a regional approach in the fight against the terrorist group that they said was operating as an affiliate of the Al Qaeda.
As for the other leaders, they were convinced that terrorism was a threat to their own peace and stability and promised their cooperation in the fight against Boko Haram, especially as they all share borders.
