Gun ownership in this country became ideological when the British sent troops to confiscate our arms during the Battle of Lexington and Concord.
Gun ownership in America didn't become ideological; it has always been ideological.
The ideology is based on the protection of individual rights from the government. Obama and other politicians who oppose the Second Amendment don't like this ideology because they belong to a party that seeks greater government control.
Many people mistakenly believe that the Second Amendment tells individuals what they can and can't do and grants them the right to keep and bear arms.
This is incorrect.
The Second Amendment, along with the entire Bill of Rights, was written to specify what the "Government" cannot do.
Therefore, it's no surprise that Obama would claim that gun ownership in this country has become ideological in an undesirable way.
That ideology is the Second Amendment, which limits his party's power to restrict people's right to own guns.
Gun ownership in America has become a partisan issue because you (Obama) have made it one.
The Democratic Party is the only party actively attempting to limit people's right to own guns in this country. It's so obvious that it's laughable.
Everything Obama said about gun ownership is nothing but political gaslighting, as I explain in the video.
