59:46Now PlayingJosh Sapan talked about his book, "The Big Picture: America in Panorama," a compilation of nearly 100 duotone photographs and his commentary describing the people and stories behind the images. Mr. Sapan said he has been collecting historical group photographs for well over 30 years, and suggested that each image tells a story about "a moment in America." He also spoke about his career with AMC Networks, which include AMC, IFC, The Sundance Channel, WEtv and IFC Films. He said that programs like "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" have ushered in a golden era of cable television, and described these hit shows as "slow burn TV," in which programs take a longer time to develop than in normal episodic network television. He also explained how and why he became interested in television, and described his college business venture, a traveling movie theater in the back of his station wagon.
