8:26Now PlayingHear about the Hitching Post Inn from author Sue Castaneda. Known as Wyoming’s Second Capitol, the Hitching Post Inn was the place to be in Cheyenne. It was the place where legislators and lobbyists would sleep, eat, and debate issues. It is believed that many laws passed in Wyoming weren’t debated on the floor of the Wyoming Capitol but at the Hitching Post. For over six decades, it was a Cheyenne’s iconic landmark until it burned down in 2010.
