Officials with the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), USA Gymnastics (USAG) and Michigan State University (MSU) testified before a Senate Commerce subcommittee on changes the institutions have made to protect amateur athletes from abuse. Former Michigan Governor John Engler (R), and current interim president of Michigan State University, was asked twice by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (DCT) about an alleged exchange he had with Kaylee Lorenz, an abuse survivor, where she claims he offered her money. Gov. Engler denied this claim. Full video here
