Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Israel to advocate for further extensions in the pause in war between Israel and Hamas, so that more hostages held in Gaza can be released, and more humanitarian aid can get into Gaza.

Both sides have reportedly agreed to another 24 hour pause in fighting, an eight day. Secretary Blinken also says he spoke to Israel officials about the importance of protecting Palestinian civilians when the fighting resumes.

The U.S. House of Representatives passes a bill to block Iran from getting access to $6 billion in oil revenue, that had been frozen due to sanctions, but was due to be available as part of a prisoner exchange earlier this year between the U.S. and Iran.

The United Nations Climate Summit begins in Dubai. We will hear from the UN Climate Executive Secretary and talk with Rachel Frazin, Energy & Environment Reporter with The Hill about the goals and expectations of this conference.

The new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director, Dr. Mandy Cohen, is asked at a House subcommittee hearing about a surge in respiratory illnesses in China.

A resolution to expel Rep. George Santos (R-NY) is debated in the House. A vote will happen Friday. Rep. Santos faces accusations of violating both House ethics and rules, and criminal laws, for allegedly spending campaign donations on himself.

Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats subpoenas two conservative activists, over Republican objections, who are part of an ethics investigation involving Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

And we remember former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, who has died at the age of 100, with a clip from a 1999 speech at the Nixon Library. He says North Vietnam would have not conquered South Vietnam if President Richard had not resigned due to the Watergate scandal.
