Washington Today (3-14-24): Sen. Schumer labels Israeli PM an obstacle to peace, calls for elections

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the highest ranking Jewish elected leader in the U.S., calls for new elections in Israel, saying that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has "lost his way by allowing his political survival to take precedence over the best interests of Israel" and is "too willing to tolerate the civilian toll in Gaza" in the war between Israel and Hamas.

White House responds to reports that the U.S. military base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba may be used to process migrants from Haiti, if there is a large increase in refugees fleeing the gang violence in that country. We also talk to Washington Post Haiti Reporter Widlore Merancourt in Haiti about the security situation and effects to create a new government after the Prime Minister Ariel Henry's resignation.
