Andrew Ross Sorkin is an awardwinning journalist for "The New York Times" and a coanchor of Squawk Box, CNBC’s signature morning program. He is also the founder and editoratlarge of DealBook, an online daily financial report published by The Times that he started in 2001. He is the author of "1929 Inside the Greatest Crash in Wall Street History," which was an instant New York Times bestseller and was named a Best Book of 2025 by TIME, "The Economist," "The Financial Times" and Bloomberg. He also chronicled the events of the 2008 financial crisis in the bestselling, “Too Big to FailThe Inside Story of How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial Systemand Themselves." Sorkin won the Emmy award for Outstanding Live Interview in 2022 and is also cocreator of the drama series “Billions” on Showtime. He graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. degree in May 1999.
