Kara Swisher: "I'm not scared of AI because it's just like every technology, whether it's gunpowder, whether it's steel, whether it's cars, whether it's airplanes, if you go to the Air and Space Museum, if you look on the wall, a lot of people were worried about what would happen with airplanes, right? You go look at it. If you put AI in there, it's the same thing. Like, this is going to ruin everything. This is going to do this. Technology is not the problem. Electricity. You can either be electricity could light this room or it could or it could electrocute people. Right? Technology doesn't have an opinion about anything. But it is, as Brad Smith from Microsoft said, it's a tool or a weapon. And the question is, what are we going to use it for? It could be like the stuff with AI and cancer is astonishing what it's going to help us do. AI discovered that the shingles vaccine cognitive decline improved 50% with using the shingles vaccine. Doctors never figured that out. AI did. Amazing stuff is happening. It could be the most astonishing tool for humanity...It could be the most astonishing tool for humanity if we use it as a tool. It could also be a terrible, terrible, terrible weapon. And that's my issue isn't AI. It's AI without safety, and it's AI without human intervention and human guided AI. So I'm not scared of AI. I'm scared of people who use AI and the kind of people that get to control AI, just like I was I'm scared with the people who get the bombs. Just like I'm scared of the people who get cloning. It's the people I'm scared of."
