1:06Now PlayingSpeaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) spoke Tuesday in support of data centers, saying they were critical to the AI race against China, but cautioned that community concerns have to be considered.
"A broad moratorium is kind of a dangerous prospect right now," he said at a campaign event for Rep. Tom Barrett (R-MI) in Lansing, Michigan.
"We're in a race with China, on the AI race, and if they're able to leapfrog us in that race, it's a very dangerous thing for everybody around the country."
