"I always like to say that a term limit is an election. You know, the public's pretty smart," he told reporters at the White House. "But I'm okay with term limits."
The president pointed out that the people who would be responsible for imposing term limits are the lawmakers themselves, making it a difficult proposition.
"It's a little bit tough. That's not the easiest vote to get, is it? But I'm okay with it one way or the other. I do think elections really term people out."
