8:56Now PlayingGoogle has bought robotics engineering company Boston Dynamics, best known for inventing robots like BigDog, a motorized robot that can handle ice and snow, WildCat, the worlds fastest running robot, and a humanoid known as PETMAN.

Specific details about the price and terms of the deal are currently unknown, although the former head of the Google's Android division said that his next big project at Google was to pursue a lifelong love of real robots.
