The Only Path to God Is Through Her Womb

We are the children of God, and we need our mother. This is not merely a poetic sentiment but a profound spiritual reality that defines the Christian journey. We need to cling to her because if we let go and walk away from Our Lady, we are going to fall flat on our face. The path to Jesus is not a solitary trek through the wilderness; it is a journey walked in the shadow of the Ark of the New Covenant. As we come to know her more deeply, we can accept her motherhood more profoundly, allowing her gentle hands to guide us toward the heart of her Son.

Our Lord Jesus came into the world through Mary, and this fact changes everything about how we approach the Divine. He did not descend from heaven to stand apart from humanity; He descended to the mother's womb. This is the ultimate humility of God. He chose to be dependent on a human mother for His entry into history. If we wish to follow Him, we must follow the path He took. He said, Come, follow me. But where did He come when He came from heaven? He went right to the mother's womb. Therefore, to follow Jesus is to go to Mary. To bypass her is to attempt to reach the destination without taking the road God Himself paved.

Many try to approach God directly, ignoring the maternal mediation that Christ established. They seek a spiritual shortcut, believing that their own piety or intellect is sufficient. Yet, without the protection and guidance of Our Lady, the soul is vulnerable to the deceptions of the enemy. She is the one who preserves the truth, the one who keeps the fire of faith burning in the heart of the Church. When we drift from her, we drift from the safety of the ark. We expose ourselves to the storms of the world, forgetting that she is the one who calms the waves and guides the ship to the harbor of salvation.

The call to follow Jesus is inseparable from the call to honor Mary. She is the first disciple, the perfect model of faith, and the one who leads us to the Eucharist. Every time we approach the altar, we are reminded of the womb that carried the Savior. We are reminded that the Word became flesh in her. To reject her motherhood is to reject the Incarnation itself. It is to deny the humanity of Christ, for He is the Son of Mary as much as He is the Son of God.

We must ask ourselves: Are we clinging to her? Or are we letting go, thinking we are strong enough to stand alone? The answer is clear. We are weak. We are prone to error. We need her intercession, her protection, and her guidance. She is the one who teaches us to say, May it be done unto me according to Thy word. She is the one who leads us to the cross and the resurrection. Without her, we are lost. With her, we are home.
