But with that gift comes responsibility: Are we bearing fruit for the salvation of souls? As faith declines in some places and grows especially in Africa and Asia, this Gospel reminds us that stewardship of God’s vineyard is a privilege, not our property. God is patient, but He will also ask what fruit we produced with what He entrusted to us.
