In this clip, Ali explained how Nelly cut him out of a deal with a management company. Ali was approached by the company, who recognized his role in being on the road and managing the musician every day. They offered him a 5% share of all profits they would bring in if he were to convince the musician to sign with them. Despite this being a 'no-brainer' as no money would have to come directly out of Nelly's pockets, the deal apparently soured later on. The musician reportedly made it difficult for Ali to earn money on his own, leading to strained relations. Without sharing specific personal details, Ali shared that he felt Nelly was actively working against his efforts. The exact motives for this behavior were unclear. Lastly, it was highlighted how Nelly's insecurities may have played a role in these dynamics.
