LaVar Ball, the outspoken father of NBA players Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo Ball, recently appeared on VladTV where he discussed his upbringing in South Central Los Angeles and his aspiration for success. Ball explained how his large family kept him shielded from the gang violence in the area. Despite growing up in a challenging environment, he didn't consider any part of it to be traumatic, attributing his resilience to the strength of his family unit. He also credited his entrepreneurial spirit to wanting to avoid the routine grind witnessed in the lives of his hardworking parents. Commenting on his switch from South Central to the Valley, he outlines how his parents ensured he got a better education.
