John "Boxer" Mendoza discusses moments in his life when he feared he would be forced to take drastic actions due to his deep loyalty toward his gang. Drawing a parallel to the movie "American Me," where a character had to kill his brother to save face for the gang, the former gang member revealed he was fortunate to not have to face such a situation. Shockingly, he did admit to being part of a situation where a fellow gang member's mother was threatened to be killed after becoming an informant and was later murdered when the son, understanding the implications, gave tacit approval and then disappeared. Although reluctant to detail his involvement, he confessed he was part of the initial conversation about the potential hit.
