Jeweler and entrepreneur Ben Baller recently opened up on Vlad TV about his tumultuous childhood and family background, including a harrowing arrest experience. Born to immigrant parents—his father from North and his mother from South Korea—Baller's family history is marked by the turbulence of the Korean War. His father’s efforts to reunify North and South Korea led to frequent visits to the North, despite his parents' divorce and subsequent challenges.
Baller grew up in Koreatown, Los Angeles, and found himself in serious trouble at just nine years old. After being caught stealing from a Sears in Cerritos, he was arrested. Recounting the event, Baller described how a sheriff slammed his head against a jail wall. Later in the clip, Ben Baller talked about his background as a breakdancer and how he immersed himself in early Hip-Hop culture.
