Ex-mobster Gene Borrello shared a recount of his arrest and subsequent fallout with his cousin, who ultimately cooperated with authorities against him. Borrello was apprehended with a $500,000 bail, only to find himself unable to secure release due to additional Florida charges. The turning point? Realizing his cousin Frankie's cooperation, leaving him no way out of jail. Faced with significant time behind bars and insurmountable evidence, including 15,000 pages of wiretapped recordings, Borrello’s frustration boiled over. In retaliation, he plotted to have his cousin's beloved dog killed. Through prison visits, he attempted to coordinate this grim plan, but the hit was ultimately prevented from happening.
