Sammy "The Bull" Gravano recounted a chilling episode from his mob days involving a Colombo family made man who was killed after refusing to carry out a hit. Gravano explained the strict code within the mafia that mandates the execution of ordered hits, a duty sworn to as part of the mob's oath. While requests to be excused from such tasks could be made, they were only granted in exceptional cases — and refusing outright was a death sentence. Gravano recounted a case where a Colombo member, who had found religion and was now a born-again Christian, declined an order to kill, leading to his own execution. Gravano emphasized the inescapable loyalty demanded within the mob, as well as the dire consequences for those who deviate from its rules.
