For a few hundred dollars, several companies will perform DNA analyses that purport to tell whether you have ADHD or what medications you should use.
While you may gain some concrete information about your genetic heritage, seldom are these tests are useful as they suggest. Some of this has to do with the limited scope of the tests, while much has to do with the nature of ADHD. Furthermore, how well your genes are expressed often has as much importance as which genes you actually have.
