YouTube Description
as posted by the channelCamden, GA: October 16th 2023 body-worn camera and dash-camera show the traffic stop where Leonard Allan Cure was shot and killed by a Camden County deputy. Cure had previously served 16 years in prison for a crime he did not commit and was exonerated in 2020.
We slow the footage down and examine each stage of the incident — the stop, the arrest attempt, the Taser deployment, the close-quarters struggle, and the single fatal shot — using established law-enforcement procedures and training standards.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation processed the scene and handled the case. The District Attorney announced in February 2025 that no criminal charges would be filed. A federal civil lawsuit filed by Cure’s family remains active.
