Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed "profound shock" over the condition of these two hostages. Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir expressed outrage over the hostage footage, too. On Sunday, Ben Gvir spoke at the flashpoint Temple Mount in Jerusalem, known to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif, and reiterated his call for Israel to occupy the entire Gaza Strip.
